What is the RIBM Working Paper Series?

The Working Paper Series publishes and promotes the work of RIBM researchers in a timely way that enables the development of research outputs for further publication in academic journals. It is a showcase for research groups and centres, and a valuable resource for those wishing to disseminate their work to a wide audience. The WPS contributes to the research culture in RIBM and is an effective window on our research activity.

The Working Paper Series was launched in 2000 and since then has been a valuable vehicle for established and early career researchers to reach important peer audiences, communicating their achievements and contributions to their domain.

Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (MMUBS) is the leading professionally focused Business School in the UK.

Research conducted at MMUBS covers a wide range of issues in business and management. What unites this research is the desire to contribute to the practice of management.

Aims of the RIBM Working Paper Series

The fundamental aim of the Working Paper Series is to provide an initial outlet for the high quality research conducted by MMUBS Faculty members either alone or with colleagues at other research institutes.

By pursuing this aim, the Working Paper Series will also:

  • raise awareness of the Business School’s research;
  • provide a forum for discussion of the research by colleagues and peers within the Business School and beyond;
  • provide practitioners with easy access to research findings.
